The revealers
The Cancer Control Society (and other nutritionally related diseases) [sic][1] is an organization dedicated to alternative medicine, cancer "information", and conspiracy theories. It hosts yearly conventions related to alternative medicine and cancer.

Some factoids about the CCS:

  • The CCS's site copiously links to DVDs they sell (only $395 each!) of the yearly conventions the CCS hosts -- DVDs which also include CAM propaganda and conspiracy theories such as the documentary "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Cancer".[2][3]
  • There's a "Support The Cancer Control Society page"[4] which tells you what "Gifts"[5] you can get from giving the CCS hundreds or thousands of dollars (or your car), such as supplements, CAM movies, or the "opportunity" to participate in a "Quality of Life Study" (paying to participate in a trial... sounds familiar...)
  • It's not enough that there's an option to donate your car on the donation form, so there's also a special page specifically titled "Donate Your Car" (linked to from the homepage), with helpful instructions on how you can give the CCS your motor vehicle or home (yes, home).[6]

There are also links to many movies describing how CAM and quacks like Stanislaw Burzynski are supposedly being unfairly supressed by the establishment.[7]

There is some free cancer-related information in the form of some rather predictable nutrition guidelines[8] for preventing cancer, which promote, among other things, raw milk, organic food, "raw dairy butter" or coconut oil (because fat -- and especially saturated fat -- definitely prevents cancer), organic red wine, and chemophobia.[9] The few guidelines which are actually relevant for cancer are simply common sense and not specific to the CCS.
