Forum:"Socialist" Spanish soccer team
Revision as of 11:43, 30 August 2012 by TheEgyptian
- The Olympics soccer team of socialist Spain is forced to confront its own total failure and bad sportsmanship. On a related note, Spain's socialist economy has been a colossal failure.
This is further evidence that real men don't want a Nanny state and liberal wimps do. Spain has embraced socialism and "fascism light" and these ideologies are very similar. See: Obamunism and Similarities between Communism, Nazism and liberalism
I have two main problems with this:
- The current Spanish government led by Mariano Rajoy (since November 2011) is not socialist by any means. True, it's not as conservative as Conservapedia, but it does support austerity and social welfare cuts, subsidized religion even in public schools, more power for businesses and so on. It's a conservative, pro-Christian party. The previous government led by Zapatero can be called socialist, of course - but the origin of the Spanish crisis (that is, the Spanish housing bubble) can be traced even further before Zapatero took power.
- Even assuming that Spain is still socialist, wow, the national soccer team has had a pretty long run of failures lately: Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012.
- Can't believe I didn't see this nugget of wisdom before. Rajoy is a socialist?! RAJOY?! OMFGs... The man is a steaming heap of reactionary right wing horseshit. And the housing bubble clearly has it's roots in the Aznar era - another great testament to the financial prudence of conservatives, along with autovias to nowhere, and the Iberia and Trasmediterránea privatisations. <rant> Fucking PP, piss on everything that is decent and turn the world to shit. </rant> -- 00:09, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
