So please don't do it. Who moderates the moderators?

P-Foster17:14, 8 January 2012

Posting private stuff is also kinda against the rules.

-- Nx / talk17:15, 8 January 2012

what, like Conservaleaks? I call bullshit. There was nothing there to identify whoever wrote the e-mail.

P-Foster17:17, 8 January 2012

Cooped

P-Foster17:18, 8 January 2012

I kinda don't get this. I think that e-mailing someone who has not yet done anything, is sorta BSish, but it was done. nothing stops a person who receives email from posting it, if they've removed the name. I get you all don't like Human. I have issues myself. But making up rules, or breaking them is not a way to handle something that has not yet even been an issue. You are quite literally creating a problem where there was none.

So why wasn't Conservaleaks hosted on RW?

-- Nx / talk17:20, 8 January 2012

We link to it dozens of times and were generally waiting for the next installment with throbbing hard-ons; the question of where it's hosted is academic. We use them all over the place. And real identities are not redacted from them.

P-Foster17:22, 8 January 2012

Exactly, but it's not hosted on RW because we have a rule against it. But we still want to see it, so hosting it externally is a convenient way to get around that.

If Human can breach my good-faith trust and the "community" stands behind him for it, then I want no part in it.

If that's what you call "good faith" I'd hate to see your version of "bad faith". Note that I posted the emails without naming a source the first time. The second, they were still only attributed to an anonymous internet handle. I left your real name and email address off intentionally.

Wait a sec, we have rules? Since when?

Picon small.pngAcer Blue17:27, 8 January 2012

not any more. We'll see how the new ruleless RationalWiki works out in a couple months.
