How would you spell in romangie (I can't read kangi or either of the kana) for the "hi, i'm home" "welcome back" that you hear in Japanese. something like what I wrote as the subject line.
Thank you. We watched one of the saddest/happiest dramas titled "Okaeri". It was about a group of people who had all lost relatives in a crash, and who formed a new family together. so it was sad, and happy. but the title of the show was sooooo appropriate.
I've heard of it. I haven't had time to watch it yet. Watch 1 Litre of Tears. SO GOOD.
Saw it. :(
My favorite emotional shows was with Hiroshi Abe "Shiroi Haru". i LOVE "abe" (i thought that was his first name for the longest time, duh). and this one he's an ex con who goes out to reconnect with his 8 year old daughter who he had to leave to go to jail. it's sooooo emotional. :-)
Awwww. I remember that! It was so good! But it kinda reminded me of the Korean Movie "My Father"...Just a tad bit. I also recommend this movie. Along with Tae-Guk-Ki.
Excuse me for barging in, but whilst you're on the subject, I've been neglecting my live-action Asian viewing lately. Last watched: Liar Game S1, Moyashimon, Linda Linda Linda (like an la K-On) and Nana to Kaoru (a gentle tale of &M between schoolkids... O_o). Want to have a look at Kimi ni Todoke, and desperately trying to find a sub of the amazing Yūnagi no machi, sakura no kuni (Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms)
So... outside of that, what's worth tracking down?
Well~ I could go on a list really. But what kind of Asian durama? Korean, Japanese, Thai?
Hmmm... I don't know T-drama at all, or K-drama either really (although I am a big fan of Korean horror movies - Red Shoes, Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance etc), but I'm open to suggestions. I guess I have a bias towards J-drama, because I enough of a smattering of the language to follow most of the conversation, whereas with the others, I'm 100% reliant on the subs :)
I've also found this handy site for downloading too: http://doramax264.com
Hahaha. I don't watch Thai drama that often actually. But I'm mostly watching Korean/Japanese Dramas/Game shows. I always find them to be hilarious. Well, Have you seen Nodame Cantabile the Live Action series? I recommend that. It's pretty close to the original, and the acting is pretty good. You'll love the GYABOOOOO! Hahaha. Hotaru no Hikari was good as well. It all depends on the Genre you like. I'm more into the comedic/romance most of the time when it comes to the Japanese Dramas. Korean Drama is pretty good too, but again, depends on the genre you're looking for. Whenever I don't feel like downloading the series, I watch it on Mysoju.com. They have Japanese, Korean, and Thai movies and dramas.
