ASL cognative linguistics

Hey, if in your reading and writing you come across anything interesting on Cognitive linguistics and asl or deaf people in general, would you point me that way? I've lots of books on the complex grammar of ASL (which is wackadoo fun!), but people like Pinker "grace" that "asl is a language" and "deaf studies are important" then leave the topic and never touch it again.

It's a fucking visual language, people. It's non temporal; non liner; non-word ordered --- you'd think someone in cognitive linguistics would say "fucking cool as subject to study!"
