My time-killer
(because Conservatives can't do it!)
This user has two one socks on Coservapedia
In the beginning there was nothing...then Chuck Norris Roundhouse kicked that nothing in the face and said "Get a job". That is the story of the universe.
ATTENTION ALL! I occasionally make mistakes. If you find one that I have made, please go here to slap me with a huge, soaking wet trout.
BrainMop.jpg As a confirmed mustard jar for taking on this job as a Sysop on RationalWiki: I, Javascap, pledge to only block users if they ask for it, or insert unfunny vandalism.
I furthermore pledge that if I indulge in secret private conversations about you, we will make a formal report to the mob. Is that all?
If you impugn my motives without warrant, or challenge my "AUTHORITY", er, there is nothing I can or will do.

Whewie, what a ride it has been. When I first joined RW, the only thing I was really thinking (regarding CP) was that I would display a small show of support for rational thinking and science, as if to replace the mind numbing stupidity at CP.

I am, as of yet, still Javascap. I am now heading off to college to take a course in Cognitive Science, a subject linked directly into biology, computer sciences, and various other nerd-related subjects.

As time has gone on, I took the time to reflect on my religious beliefs, and the more and more I learn about the Catholic Church, the more and more I find out that they are in nearly complete contridiction with my system of beliefs. While I do believe there is a God, and I do believe he did send an entity of himself (Jesus) to earth, I also believe God did not want us to stick our heads in a proverbial sand and await him to end the universe.

I guess I can say that I am, unlike some people, to reconcile my beliefs with science. On the touchy topic of abortion, for example, I fall on the middle line. I do believe that if a woman is raped or if she would die or give birth to a baby in very poor shape, it should be entirely within her right to get an abortion. But on the flip side, I do not think that a couple with a clean bill of health should be allowed to get an abortion just because they don't want the baby.

At the current moment, I believe God is out there... but quite frankly, he has a planet to run, and hes not going to care about your beliefs or your thoughts (I even believe Athiests have a shot at getting into heaven!) but that He cares about your actions, he cares about what you do in this world, how helpful you are, and wheather you are basically good or evil (and even that can be negotiated!)

Thank you for keeping an open mind.

Warm regards, Javascap

Rather than chewing up the "Essay" section, I will be writing my rants here, and archiving them. These rants probabally don't slap too hard on religious fundies, but hey, they are just my thoughts.
