::Well, yeah, it is. The main part is the pressure/temperature (the prssure corresponds to some degree with the altitude but it varies somewhat), the red line is the actual temp and the green line is the dew point, but I do not know what the graphs are behind these lines...I'm an adept autodidact and usually pick these things up rather quickly but this one has me perplexed. And though I can find these all over the web, I cannot find a site on HOW to interpet them. Thanks. CЯacke<big>®</big> 11:42, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

I think the radar plot in the top left shows how the balloon has moved horizontally relative to its release point.  WP has a description of the main plot and there are links to similar plots.  <font color="#DD0000">ɱ@δ ɱ!ɳ</font>Hello?/I did this! 12:07, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

a little help

Could you check this out for me, see if it makes sense, etc? Thanks, --PalMD-yada yada 15:47, 4 June 2007 (CDT)

It works well as it is...however; for my tastes it strikes me as a bit nit-picky. The original article wasn't very good? So what? Big deal, it's a wiki article they're supposed to be rough starting out...to get a real sense of what you want to do here I'd suggest a "real" definition of theory to contrast these two efforts showing that while improvements have been made the article is still not up to snuff. (Though the newer version might be okay for grade school aged homeschoolers.)~~ C®acker 16:04, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
Thanks, I hadn't thought of it that way. I never read mine from top to bottom, only side to side. I'll have to read it more carefully.!!--PalMD-yada yada 16:07, 4 June 2007 (CDT)

Please?

I don't want you to be mad at me... sorry for going against the community. I disagree with your opinion but I handled it poorly. Sorry =-( -AmesG 08:47, 7 June 2007 (CDT)

I am "Stephanie Simon". I got some good dirt from User:C but he's even more dull one-on-one than even I could've imagined. ~~ C®acker 18:55, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

Cheap-ass punk call you collect?--PalMD-yada yada 19:19, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
And I had to route the damned call through a friend's line in LA to make caller ID look right. Setting THAT up took three days. (The deadline thing was the friend's idea). C®acker 19:23, 12 June 2007 (CDT)
The only thing is that Stephanie Simon works out of Denver and the phone number she gave is a Denver number! Otherwise an excellent con! God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 07:44, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

Oh boy, if this is real there are gonna be some pissed off people over at CP ... I can't wait to see what happens. Jrssr5 09:32, 15 June 2007 (CDT)

TK?

I take umbrage at that sirrah, and will ask you to step outside and settle it like a man. Haddocks at thirty paces. My seconds will contact yours.

Excuse me?
If you are challenging me I do believe it is I who has the right to choose the weapons. But as I just happen to have a 15kg Haddock in the freezer, your terms are acceptable, once it is thawed, (wouldn't be sporting if it were still frozen, don't you know?). Shall we take a brandy or two before the event? But these are matters for our seconds to decide! My seconds is one DocSock, who is worthless as a Doctor, (he doesn't even use leeches, much), but broils the best goat one could ever hope to taste. I look forward to bludgeoning your brains out. My only regret is that you do not appear to be, (in fact) TK, otherwise I'd be killing two birds and all that. ~~ CЯacke® 10:17, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
I would consider it a great honor to present your haddock. After you have prevailed, it shall be served with a buerre blanc.--DoxXox-DawkT0wk 10:44, 16 June 2007 (CDT)
That is a splendid suggestion! Be sure not to over-cook it though as it will already have been tenderized. Be sure to bring a shovel and a bag of lime as well. ~~ CЯacke® 10:52, 16 June 2007 (CDT)

It's from a radiosonde instrument intended to be carried by a balloon up through the atmosphere, equipped with sensors to measure one or several meteorological variables (pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.), and provided with a radio transmitter for sending this information to the observing station.

I think the radar plot in the top left shows how the balloon has moved horizontally relative to its release point. WP has a description of the main plot [1] and there are links to similar plots. ɱ@δ ɱ!ɳHello?/I did this! 12:07, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
