Edit

Good edit! AceThe Rep Grows Bigger 06:10, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

I went out on a bit of a limb, but I figured I was on solid ground with the WIGO:World crowd. Thanks for the feedback, Ace! (As an aside, why do I have to enter captchas when editing my own talk page? I agree with the captcha system, just an observation. lol) Ochtonaprincepsnot a pokémon 06:14, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Fixed that captcha issue (I think), let me know if you have any problems, dawg. AceThe Rep Grows Bigger 06:17, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
I got 99 problems but a captcha ain't one. Don't shoot me. Thanks, Ace. Ochtonaprincepsnot a pokémon 06:22, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Apparently I am in trouble for infringing on some users delicate sensibilities so I thought I would try being "kind". It won't last. Heh. AceThe Rep Grows Bigger 06:25, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
I'll treasure this talk page conversation thread forever, then. I'll screenshot it, print it out on acid-free archival paper, laminate it, and then seal it between two blocks of concrete buried in my back yard. Ochtonaprincepsnot a pokémon 06:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

user name

If I may, what does it mean? It sounds kind of like a dinosaur. Sam Tally-ho! 02:37, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Oh wait, I see. Never mind. Sam Tally-ho! 02:38, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
I just posted in RationalWiki:Requests to change username because I just realized that for over a month I've had it misspelled. Ochotona princeps are these cute little fellas. What's interesting is that they look like tailless rodents, but they're actually lagomorphs. Their tails have disappeared from external view as they evolved (like humans and our tailbones), and they live primarily in subalpine regions, preferentially in rock falls where they can create dens between the boulders where their predators can't reach. You said never mind, but I answered anyway! Ochtonaprincepsnot a pokémon 02:42, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
They actually are pretty cute. They look kind of like a cross between a mouse and a bunny. Sam Tally-ho! 02:46, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Seeing as laporidae (rabbits) and ochotonidae (pika) are both lagomorphs, it certainly makes sense. Pikas chirp loud squeaks to warn each other of danger. I'm pretty sure that the Japanese or Northern Pika (which has my favourite taxonomic name ever, ochotona hyperborea yesoensis) is at least a partial inspiration for that damned yellow electric money machine, especially the Pi! sound, which the Japanese would use as the phonetic onomatopoeia word for the warning squeaks real pikas make. This is the reason for my signature. Ochtonaprincepsnot a pokémon 02:53, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
