Nuclear reactions aren't actually rare. They are probably the most common reaction in the universe... ħumanUser talk:Human 16:12, 1 September 2008 (EDT)

Should we add a page on thorium, either just as an element or as an energy source?Skittles (talk) 13:23, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

maybe a subsection at Nuclear energy? Or just do this wp:thorium? Totnesmartin (talk) 13:26, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Most people call it aluminium, the Americans call it aluminum.
Quite rightly it should be sodium, but sometimes I think "oh sod 'em".

TL;DR[edit]

This is an artiucle, not a category. ТyrannisAn iron, but caring, fist 13:25, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Fixed. Scarlet A.pngbomination 13:28, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Thallium[edit]

how do I add an actual article on thallium?

By clicking here? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 14:19, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh wait, I see the problem. Someone has set up a redirect. Dunno how to delete a redirect. I'm sure someone else here does though. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 14:20, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Yes, the redirect loop had me flummoxed. Thanks Tyrannis!--Feline1 (talk) 14:37, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Ty, that will also help me out in the future. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 14:41, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
NP, what I'm here for. ТyrannisAn iron, but caring, fist 14:46, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Mission[edit]

Are each of these on topic? I personally am not in favor of writing short, stubby, scientific light articles on each element - only those that really are either woo-happy, or important in context of particular evoultion or science articles. --Green mowse.pngGodot 16:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Redirects[edit]

A lot of elements redirect here, such as lithium and boron. Is this in any way a useful thing to do, as this page offers no information on lithium or boron? It's conceivable that lithium could redirect to something about its medical uses, but other elements probably could have the redirect deleted. --Annanoon (talk) 09:35, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Having been sent here via the Lithium redirect, I agree. Avida Dollarsher again 17:41, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
The redirects should definitely be deleted. Whoever created them didn’t even do it properly, currently we’ve got elements as obscure as Praseodymium but not sodium. Someone will need to remove all the new red links, might be easier to do that first whilst they still all show up under Special:WhatLinksHere/Category:Elements. Christopher (talk) 18:06, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
I'll do this in the morning unless someone does it tonight - there's no urgency. Avida Dollarsher again 19:58, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
