A caucus is the procedure by which a local party officially chooses the person they will support in an upcoming election.
In Colorado[1] it involves literally unlimited speeches from anyone who wishes to stand and say why they support so and so for each political position. Usually, fistfights are avoided, but name calling and verbal childish whining, shouting and overall cacophony are apparently the preferred debate styles of even the most skilled.
