Chabad, also known as Lubavitch Chassidism is a sect of Chassidic Orthodox Judaism. Chabadniks believe their late Rebbe was the Messiah and is coming back from the dead, since he didn't do anything the Jewish Messiah is supposed to do before his death. Some Chabad Chassidim believe that the Rebbe is spiritually present with them, and may perform rituals for him. Chabad is completely, 100% Jewish. Absolutely nothing questionable about their beliefs. Not at all.
[edit] Beep!
In the early 1990s, the use of beepers (pagers) was popular among the Chabad, so as to be alerted of the exact moment when Menachem Mendel Schneerson was about to die and turn into the Messiah.[1]
