“”It was physics - and not God - that created the universe, according to scientist Hawking. Now, I wanted to put my question to him in this fashion on the main page, but it possibly might cause an uproar: "Stephan[sic] Hawking says God wasn't involved in creating the universe; it was physics. Well, Steve, if you know that much about the universe, then try getting out of your wheel chair!"

Karajou (also known as Brian Macdonald[3], Karajerk, Karajoke, Kowardjou, Karaturd, Karatard, Karacrap, Karadouche, Carrot Juice - but not Karajew, despite what he might say, and Anger Bear.[4]) is one of the most dimwitted Conservapedia genitals generals admirals swabbies and a disgusting pile of flotsam in the waters of life. He possesses the strength, fury and ruthlessness of a hurricane (as well as the intellect of one).
Karajou is one of the best busiest troll-destructor sysops at Conservapedia, as his method involves automatic blocking of users who may happen to live near where a previous suspect has left their mark; the drawback of this onslaught is a bit too much collateral damage. In addition, Karajou more-than-willfully complies with Conservapedia's policy of blocking any IP address that comes from a scientific institution, such as NASA research centers. To fix this, he has refused to enable his email checkbox, effectively forcing editors to bother contact somebody else instead. As of 28/01/08, he has claimed twelve /16 IP's souls, preventing Conservapedia from growing rapidly and the truth from setting you free.
Reading comprehension is not his forte; much like RobSmith, debating with Karajou often leaves the impression that he isn't really aware of what you're saying, much less able to comprehend the logic behind it. But unlike Rob, Karajou is likely to become very angry that anyone has dared question him, so angry, in fact, that you'll never see your very intelligent comment again unless you scroll through the talk page's history. Hate seems to ooze from his pores. He doesn't like being called Kowardjou, either.

[edit] Troll bait
Some of the reasons this gawd lovin' Bible freak gives for blocks range from "don't need you",[5] "user was aborted; being a believer in abortion, he should accept it",[6] to "just plain stupid!" or "go potty elsewhere" [7], "Canadian citizen demanding First Amendment rights under our Constitution, when he hasn't sworn to uphold and protect it"[8] and "returned to form; will not return EXCEPT UNDER ACHLAFLY'S PLEASURE"[9] though he's usually satisfied with a simple combination of the words "troll", "vandal" and "IP".[10]
[edit] Man of the military
In addition to his Conservapedia antics, Karajou has allegedly served in the United States Navy (see below). Karajou finds this service grounds to make all sorts of crazy judgments. It's like an argument from authority, but the authority is the villain from "Popeye".
He names a college in his weirdly detailed blog-resume (see below), although he apparently never earned a degree. He seems to have focused in law enforcement (like the guy who checks the time cards of people who drive around the parking lots of Wal*Mart).
His love for science is evidenced by the fact that he's the most prominent member in the Save the Clam Coalition Group,[11] a proud defender of the Great Auk[12] and doesn't like vaccines very much.[13] Whether Karajou stood up for his principles by refusing to accept vaccines while in the Navy, however, is most unlikely.[14]
[edit] Ad hominem
We respect the sacrifices military servicemen make on behalf of their countries. However, Karajou has been touting his military service like it makes him impervious to criticism. By touting it like a magic charm, Karajou himself belittles that service, and makes his own fair game for attack.
From Karajou's C.V. CP userpage:
[edit] Qualifications: Other
He's been awarded the "prestigious coveted Banhammer barnstar for tireless vigilence (sic) against fascist liberal trolls."[15] Which really tells you all you need to know.
[edit]
- 20 years
Karajou is retired, otherwise he would be bragging even more, and, more significantly, he edits Conservapedia too much for him to not be retired. Furthermore, Karajou served just long enough to be eligible for a taxpayer-funded military pension.[16]
- 4 MED cruises; 1 WESTPAC; 1 UNITAS; various other deployments
Karajou seems to think that throwing around Navy jargon makes his accomplishments seem more important. To translate, Karajou served, respectively, 4 assignments in the Mediterranean Sea, 1 in the western Pacific Ocean, and 1 assignment with the US Navy training deployment along the South American coast.
- Gulf War veteran
He was in the navy... he wasn't in the naval air force... if he had actually seen any action, he would have bragged... So Karajou sat on a boat dozens of miles out to sea.[17] How inspiring.
- NEC 9545: Law Enforcement
He means he was an MP (military police), or Master-at-arms (MA) to use the Navy parlance for it. "MAs report to the executive officer, help maintain discipline, and assist in security matters"[wp]. Hmm... Sounds an awful lot like what he does at Conservapedia now. Granted, MA encompasses many different jobs, all of them requiring specialized skills, but those jobs each carry their own additional NEC-number label. Since he hasn't listed any other such codes, and he has so painstakingly listed all of his other, irrelevant "qualifications", we can conclude that Karajou was only a general MA without any specializations.
- NEC 9585: Recruiting
What this means is that, in addition to his regular job as MA, Karajou was a recruiter. When stationed at home, a recruiter's job is to recruit civilians into the military (specifically, into whatever branch they themselves are in). When stationed outside the US, a recruiter's job is to get fellow soldiers to re-enlist. Ah, can't you just see Karajou, hitting up his buddies, trying to convince them to sign up for a few more years? Wanna bet he was amazingly popular because of this? (Not!)
- USS South Carolina CGN-37
- USS Samuel Gompers AD-37
- USS Shenandoah AD-44
- USS O'Bannon DD-987
- Naval Station Norfolk
- Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek
- Naval Air Station Jacksonville
- Naval Station Mayport
Service members get transferred a lot, even the higher-ranking officers. It's one of the sacrifices made in being a full-time service member: you have to work where you're told to, and your station is at the bureaucracy's convenience. So there is absolutely nothing special about this list. Anyone who stays in the military full-time for more than a couple years racks up a list like this. Karajou, listing all the places you were stationed at just to sound impressive is being an ass, and flashing it at unknowledgeable civilians like it was something special is being disingenuous.
- Rank: ???
E7 - Chief Petty OfficerIf Karajou had been anything like that, his ego would be exponentially larger than it is now (thereby causing the collapse of the universe, so fortunately he was not). Twenty years in the navy is an interesting length of time; either he left as he qualified for the pension, or he had reached the high year of tenure for an E6 (or E5 based on when he joined) and was discharged for not being promoted to the next rank in that time. Therefore, given what we know, we can conclude that Karajou was at most, E6—Petty Officer, 1st Class. Given his craptastic communication skills, he may have been as low as E5—Petty Officer, 2nd Class. A most unimpressive ranking. What's more, that's as high as he ever got over a twenty year period. So it's almost sad.
Being a Chief is a big accomplishment for Navy enlisted. It has its privileges and responsibilities. Chiefs generally have their own mess and galley on ship as well as their own bunk rooms separate from the other enlisted. Its generally accepted that in the Navy, Chiefs are the ones who really run the ship. (Factplace)
[edit] Education
- Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes Naval Station, IL
- Sonar 'A' School, FLEASWTRACENPAC, San Diego, CA
Oh, for Christ's sake, Karajou, stop trying to impress us with Navy acronyms. FLEASWTRACENPAC stands for Fleet Antisubmarine Warfare Training Center, Pacific. Curiously, for such a proud listing of his attendance there, Karajou's service record only lists two combatant ships where such skills could have been put to use. Both the Samuel Gompers and the Shenandoah were destroyer tenders and had no sonar. In fact, the only real anti-submarine ship Karajou served aboard, the O'Bannon, was at the end of his sea duty. Whatever sonar training he got clearly wasn't enough to make a useful career out of. Or he was just that bad at it.
- Recruiting Command, Orlando, FL
- Navy Police/Law Enforcement School, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX
- Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN
Absolutely nothing on this list is noteworthy. For a Navy serviceman of mid-lower rank, with a Master-at-Arms designation, all of these schools are required/standard.
Regarding the only civilian school on the list, Middle Tennessee State University, note how Karajou doesn't say what degree he's reading. However, a couple of posts he made to the leaked sysop discussion groups would indicate he's studying towards a degree in anthropology, with a minor in archaeology. [18] His user page previously indicated he studied history. [19][20]
[edit] Update
As of September 2008, Karajou removed all of the above information when he restored his user page after coming out of a brief retirement. [21]
[edit] Man of the Bible
Karajou is a firm believer that "the Bible has been proven to be a reliable historical and scientific document ... Fair enough?"[22] That consequently has an effect on his concept of proof. For example in relation the the existence of the remains of Noah's ark in Turkey[23] and the existence of the Sasquatch in North America.[24]
Like all Conservapedia sysops, Karajou believes in Andrew Schlafly's historical revisionist interpretation of The Bible and becomes enraged if his beliefs are ever contradicted or criticised, suggesting quite a fragile foundation of faith. He is disdainful of individuals of other faiths or non-faiths.
[edit] Interent cybervandal
After a relapse and another blocking binge, fellow Conservapedia sysop RobSmith had some unkind words. Karajou retaliated by vandalizing the infant Ameriwiki project.[25]

"You, Jamesmackenzie, are going to scour the area once known as the Kingdom of Urartu, which now is occupied by eastern Turkey, northern Iraq, and northwestern Iran, and I don't care how you do it. You can use Google-Earth or take a jet to do some hiking, but you are going to go over every square foot of that ground before you carry on with your opinion in this website. That is the only way I will accept from you the proof needed that the ark doesn't exist.[27]
Karajou tries to mediate in the rather delicate matter of former sysop DeanS's cult of Mormonism being called a cult on CP. He fails:
I did explain to him some months back, and I thought I was being nice about it, is that a practicing Mormon will go to Hell for Joseph Smith, rather than go to Heaven for Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, he took it the wrong way and got upset.[28]
Karajou defends Conservative's slew of bestiality-related articles:
For the record, the critics of the present bestiality articles have not refuted the evidence against the information included in those articles. But they want the articles themselves hidden and/or removed from the site, which begs the question: do they want to get away with themselves or their ilk having sex with animals? In my opinion, these articles may be reduced or streamlined to one or two, but when it comes to some loud-mouth atheist supporting bestiality and demanding that it be removed from certain psychological definitions so the mainstream accepts that filth, yes, this website is going to expose it. Whether or not the critics like it is their problem. Karajou 09:38, 28 September 2011 (EDT) [29]
