Conservapedia talk:Blocking the planet
Isn't blocking the planet a bit of a stretch and how is this different from Conservapedia:Forbidden Cities, Conservapedia:Range blocks and Conservapedia:IP blocks? Can we have one, maybe two articles on this topic? - User

- Why not just merge Conservapedia:Forbidden Cities into this article? - User

- I was wondering about a merge too, but which has the catchier title? "Blocking the Planet" or "Forbidden Cities" I'm not sure... ArmondikoVd hominem 10:00, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
- I'd say we should use Blocking the Planet for the overarching article with the others as subsections. --Edgerunner76Your views are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter 10:05, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
- I agree with Edgerunner here, although then someone has to go through and fix the forbidden city links:

[edit] Internet-wide block
Am I correct that 0.0.0.0/0, 255.255.255.255/0, or anything in-between (if /0 were allowed by MediaWiki) would block the entire internet? --Edgerunner76Your views are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter 09:49, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
- Pretty much. - User

[edit] TK
How crazy would TK get if the MediaWiki software did not stop him at /16? I can imagine him doing a /8. He'd certainly do a few slightly lower teens range blocks. --Edgerunner76Your views are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter 10:03, 16 March 2009 (EDT)
- With 8 he could take out an entire class A network such as MIT. - User

- Are you saying that even TK wouldn't do that? --Edgerunner76Your views are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter 10:10, 16 March 2009 (EDT)

[edit] Anonymous proxies/TOR/other things?
Anyone know whether any of those are permissible methods of entry? if so is there a list of them that CP blocks? Thieh 22:14, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, proxies and TOR are not permitted on CP. TK reflexively checkusers any non-sysop editor and will ban your account and rangeblock the proxy even if you haven't done anything wrong. I've seen TK rangeblock proxies before the editor has made a single edit just as quickly as he and Poor Ed will block if they don't like your user name.

I got BlackBerry blocked :) — Unsigned, by: Neveruse513 / talk / contribs 15:18, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Please elaborate - does that mean no one can now edit Conservapedia from a Blackberry?--ConservapediaRoolz 16:19, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] How to get blocked
I used to be blocked on CP but not any longer. It was a source of pride in my fellow customers at my ISP. What should I do to get my address blocked again? What should I do to get a /24 range blocked? A /16 range?
[edit] Blocked from reading?
Do they block people from reading their site too? I haven't been able to access any of their pages for weeks. I don't get a 403 error; it just times out. Thanks. Reasoner (talk) 09:36, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
