Overmind? What are you, a Zerg? --Madman (talk) 02:17, 25 February 2015 (UTC)The Madman

That would make sense. Narky SawtoothNarky.png (BoN is paranoid!) 06:02, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
The first paragraph is way more disturbing then that. It's a good sign this is a bad joke or a very intense illness. It's not to be insulting, but thinking reality itself changes based one that person whims is a severe delusion. -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk)
You know, at first, I was thinking that was a pained attempt at satirizing how he thinks others act. But now I'm realizing it's probably a bad attempt at prepositional logic. Either way, ick. Ikanreed (talk) 21:41, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
I think with the gestalt of proving gnomes exist, Pythagoras, megalomania, and thinking one is the embodiment of a hive mind it has become much sillier and more disturbing. There's not a very big list of things I can think of that can cause this kind of belief system and none of them have a good prognosis. The old proverb "Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad" comes to mind as wise men should escape. -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 22:47, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Gnomes on wheels[edit]

riverrun, past Eve and Adam’s, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Sir Tristram, violer d’amores, fr’over the short sea, had passencore rearrived from North Armorica on this side the scraggy isthmus of Europe Minor to wielderfight his penisolate war: nor had topsawyer’s rocks by the stream Oconee exaggerated themselse to Laurens County’s gorgios while they went doublin their mumper all the time: nor avoice from afire bellowsed mishe mishe to tauftauf thuartpeatrick not yet, though venissoon after, had a kidscad buttended a bland old isaac: not yet, though all’s fair in vanessy, were sosie sesthers wroth with twone nathandjoe. The fall (bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuon- thunntrovarrhounawnskawntoohoohoordenenthurnuk!) of a once wallstrait oldparr is retaled early in bed and later on life down through all christian minstrelsy. The great fall of the offwall entailed at such short notice the pftjschute of Finnegan, erse solid man, that the humptyhillhead of humself prumptly sends an unquiring one well to the west in quest of his tumptytumtoes: and their upturnpikepointandplace is at the knock out in the park where oranges have been laid to rust upon the green since devlinsfirst loved livvy.

The difference, though, is that Joyce made sense. BicyclewheelModerator 21:52, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Hmm. Maybe I should've posted some Vogon poetry instead. Robledo (talk) 22:19, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Maybe the entire "John Galt" speech. Or the Aesthetics/Nameless speech of Lord of Light. --Maxus (talk) 01:43, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
