Essay talk:Needed Constitutional Amendments (Javascap)
Well, I'm never a fan of compulsory voting. I don't think it makes much sense to force people to do such a thing, even if you make it very clear that ticking "none of the above" or spoiling your paper is a valid choice, people won't feel that way. If it's true apathy, they'll just go ahead and tick a random box or enter the booth uninformed and ready to tick whatever they feel like. This sort of behaviour is inevitable when you force people to vote. ArmondikoVmoral 10:56, 22 October 2008 (EDT)
[edit] 14th Amendment
So, my son, who's mother is a US citizen and father a UK citizen, where does he stand? Your current wording does not make this clear. Silver Sloth 11:02, 22 October 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Privacy only from government?
In case you haven't noticed, the most egregious violations of our privacy come from the private sector. The government has always needed to supply at least a token justification of violating our privacy. Private firms are excepted even from that and get carte blanche to assemble massive amounts of data on us.
