Description
English: South Korean National Treasure no. 117, Borim Temple's seated iron Vairocana Buddha, 2.7 meters in height. An important inscription on the statue states the image was cast in 858 during the Great Silla dynasty and details the efforts and donations of the devout who supported the creation of the statue. Usually, the figure is gilded in bright gold and painted.
