In which Listener attempts to satirise communism without understanding the first thing about it. Evil evil Hoover! 09:10, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't this picture make the same point communist are trying to make? That is why does the such a small minority control the money and the power over such a huge majority? - π 09:47, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it does miss the point about power. With the religious one it does make some sense because religious influence is proportional to population - i.e., how widely the belief is held. In this case it might represent population, but it doesn't represent wealth, power, control or influence, where the proportions would be easily flipped. Phantom Hoover, the graphic was mainly intended to illustrate why this one is slightly erroneous, and for the same reason. You will note that I said "simplified" in the tagline; I was not taking into account such factors as money and political influence, which obviously matter, although not quite so much as Reds think they do (hence the additional applicability of the graphic to send up Marxism). Similarly, the Christian graphic does not take into account that our government officials are somewhat more secular in their orientation than the general population on average, which can make doctrinaire Christians hot under the collar. Don't worry, I know you're a closeted communist really. Evil evil Hoover! 22:34, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
