The rules: you are allowed to change the content of any existing speech bubbles, labels or captions. You are not allowed to add new art or new speech bubbles or labels. You ARE allowed to caption the cartoon if it's uncaptioned. READYSETGO! WodewickWelease Wodewick! 08:15, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- An initial attempt: [1] Not sure if altering a shrunken image of the cartoon directly counts as fair parody (fair use!!!11!) or not, if not then go ahead and delete the link. Speech bubble: "These days, I just lie back and think of 2008." Cigar: blank. Caption: "The honeymoon is over." WodewickWelease Wodewick! 08:31, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

- Upload and post here, we can vote on them. Fair use for parody will do, especially seeing as it is Karajou's picture we are parodying. - π 08:57, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- I would think that this is the very essence of parody ∴ "Fair Use". I have just eaten & stiltontalk 09:19, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

- Okay, I'm waving the white flag because my image-editing skills suck. I was trying to create a variant of the "Global Map" toon below, titled "Conservapedia World Editors, 2010". It would replace "Decent Folk" with "Far Hills, NJ", and replace all the other sign text with "BLOCKED". If anyone thinks this is worth it please feel free - I've tried for a half-hour to get rotated text to look decent but can't.
- My other entry would have been to create a variant of "trenchcoat guy" replacing the hammer & sickle with the words "Call Me, 212-555-POOR". The caption would read "He's ready to help". --SpinyNorman (talk) 15:26, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- ListenerX: Your entry is awesome! I love it! Tetronian you're clueless 17:26, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- There is actually a house like that here in Minneapolis; the owner puts up posters in the front porch windows supporting the NRA, Sarah Palin, and wingnut-Christianity, and opposing abortion. I never see any Christmas decorations on the house, even when the houses around it are decorated. ListenerXTalkerX 17:32, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Redback FTW. Especially as I was about to comment that "for some reason you've put Kenya where Hawaii is"... and then went duh and beat myself up. --PsygremlinTal! 18:20, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Redback got my vote. Well done. --SpinyNorman (talk) 19:51, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Can we add links to the originals? ħuman 21:03, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- What the fuck is this shit? Why has this been moved from the CP space? DeltaStarSenior SysopSpeciationspeed! 21:22, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- To save load time at talk wigo cp; also it looks like a thread that will be around for quite a while. Also, note it sort of "is" in a CP space - I made a new section in the forums page thing. If people think I dun wrong we can put it all back the way it was, no problem. ħuman 22:07, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Nyet, you did good Huw. We can always leave a link up at WIGO CP talk so Karajou knows we're making fun of him. SJ Debaser 22:10, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, SJ. I did leave a link to here under the original "stickied" header. ħuman 22:17, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Kartoon Kontest[edit]
The following are edits to Karajou's toons to attempt to add what they were previously missing, i.e., some soulful laughs.

- Professor of linguistics Mark Liberman disagrees. Down with prescriptivism! :p. --Night Jaguar (talk) 21:28, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- It's not that simple. In this case, "Fewer dead brain cells" is correct because they can, in theory at least, be enumerated. "Less brain death that way" would also be correct. –SuspectedReplicant retire me 21:37, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

- Making jokes is hard, I don't think my effort was very much of an improvement from Karajou's original. But Psygremlin, ListenerX, and Redback, yall made me laugh out loud! WodewickWelease Wodewick! 00:34, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oh... this is where we're doing this now, I wasn't paying attention when it was moved, and for some reason I only just noticed the "moved to" notice. My favorite so far is Josh (and I'm not saying that out of sympathy), his is teh funny - and it reminds me of that episode of American Dad.
"Hi, I have to sell my house because my neighbors don't like me... Yes, that's the only reason... Well, I guess you and I have different definitions of 'silly', remind me never to go to the circus with you, we'd have nothing to talk about." [Hangs up]
Hope there are still more to come. -RedbackG'day 14:53, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

(UI)I agree with . Give this thread a bit longer to see if we get any new entries, and when it's died down, place them in an article. Conservapedia:Weakly_toon, perhaps? Then there's nothing to stop us from placing that article into best of amusement if we wanted to. -RedbackG'day 10:17, 13 January 2010 (UTC) I see someone already did that. Nevermind.

Dear Sir[edit]
Dear Sir,
I'd like to complain about the amount of users approving of these comical endeavours. I, in common with a lot of people from my country, am English, and over here we value top quality humour, such as a nice story about a castle, or a city banker with comically mismatched pinstriped suit and trousers. For how much longer do we have to put up with this filth?
Sincerely,
Ivor Bigbotty the Fourth 22:42, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Dear Sir,
I wish to complain about all the letters appearing here, written by people who are complaining about the things appearing here.
Yours etc
Flight Lieutenant Ken Biggles (Mrs)
Dear Sir/Madam,
As a proud member of Her Majesty's Royal Air Force, I must complain about the above letter mocking our fine institution.
Yours,
Squadron Leader Percivil Badminton-Squash
B'vakasha[edit]
Pay no attention to those mamzers. British humour is effete and simplistic. Any English "joke" may be reduced, without losing anything important, to the following:
There were once two brothers. The other one also disliked cheese.
Toda, Herschel Schmoichel Krustovsky
- Wickedly funny! Chortle! Ivor Bigbotty the Fourth
Vote Error?[edit]
Is there a reason why my votes count twice? Has anyone else noticed this? Junggai (talk) 10:45, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind, it doesn't seem to be happening anymore. Junggai (talk) 10:47, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- either a) you changed from down to up (or vice versa) thus amending the total by plus or minus 2 or b) someone else coincidentally voted @ the same tme as you. I have just eaten & stiltontalk 11:09, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I'm guessing it doesn't even have to be at the same time. I'm assuming the vote count won't get automatically refreshed, but it will get refreshed when you vote. So if you wait 10 minutes before you vote, other people could have voted in those 10 mins but won't show up until you vote (or refresh the page). --GTac (talk) 12:10, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- correct. -- Nx / talk 13:39, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Should we put headers (like "Toon 13") above each set of parodies (and a link to the original?)?? )? ħuman 01:38, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Good idea. I'll get right on it, unless adding text in between the voting messes things up, in which case, I'll be useless. --PsygremlinSermā! 17:58, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- Although this is a Forum wouldn't it be better if we moved/confined comments to the talk page and just had the toons by themselves on one page?
- Where the toon relies on a single speech bubble or caption (and not on any text in the drawing) perhaps the bubble should be left blank and multiple captions could each have their own vote?
Lily Inspirate me. 09:25, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- The commentless collection can be found here. I also like the idea of voting for comments. Not everybody has the time or inclination to bastardise Karajerk's offerings. --PsyGremlinПоговорите! 13:55, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
