Forum:Roger Ailes is assisting Trump with the debates. What I think we should do.

I think what we need to do is to counter whatever lies Trump brings up in the debates with facts and evidence against him whenever and wherever we can. A Trump loss may seem inevitable at this point, but we can't become complacent! Are you in Rationalwiki? Ru1138 (talk) 20:16, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

I'd be open to a specialized point-by-point refutation page. That seems like the best format available, rather than incorporating it into an already gigantic article. PBFЯЗЭSPДCЗ (talk) 17:59, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
Good idea! Ru1138 (talk) 00:04, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
This is assuming Trump actually shows up for the debates. --Ymir (talk) 00:08, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
What makes you think Trump will listen to Ailes? Trump can't even follow a teleprompter. Ailes and Trump had a big falling out over the Megan Kelly issue. Ailes is doing it to play Trump for a big fee now that he's unemployed, and Trump is using Ailes name to garner votes. But there is no danger here, IMHO, of Ailes doing for Trump what Ailes did for Reagan. nobsGary Johnson for Rehab! 20:51, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
I don't know... Trump's been a little more scandal free than he was. Something is going on with him, and I have a bad feeling that he'll have a higher chance of being voted in because of it. Ru1138 (talk) 00:10, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
You know, that may be true. I'm not following Trump or Hillary daily, but last I read (yesterday) it said Trump has been trying s more disciplined kapproach, trying to stay on message with a teleprompter, etc. Then, in thinking about it, I read Ailies [https://www.google.com/search?q=ailes+book&num=30&newwindow=1&client=tablet-android-sprint-

us&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJyZDLyNbOAhUX3mMKHY1-AOAQ_AUIBygB&biw=962&bih=601#spd=14722432210748940493 You Are The Message] about 20 years ago, a self-help book for sales people (before FOX News). Ailes said he was, at the time, just a very high-paid consultant who worked one-on-one with high-paid salespeople who sometimes had little quirks that they or their boss thought if they could overcome, would make them even better or more successful. Making talented people even more polished and talented. And many people who have worked for him or with him have expressed immense gratitude for what he was able to do for them. Ailes may be the one guy in America to get through to Trump, pierce his ego, and say, "Hey, tone it down. Focus You've worked hard to get this far, and you are about to blow it."nobsGary Johnson for Rehab! 03:32, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
