Fremskrittspartiet (literally, "The Progress Party") is a far right anti-immigrant[1] political party in Norway. It is best known internationally for its association with Anders Behring Breivik, a former high-ranking youth leader in the party.[1]

The most important issue advocated by the party is its opposition to immigration, especially the immigration of Muslims to Norway. Several of its politicians are also known for their support of global warming denialism.

The party has often been compared to the French party Front National of Jean-Marie Le Pen.[2]

The party was established in the 1970s as a small fringe group, and was originally financed by the South African apartheid regime.[3]
