The Christian Burglars' Association, a.k.a. the League of Merry Men, exists in order to help people give to the poor. Televisions, jewellery and antiques are especially beneficial, the association says. The Association has managed, by means of prayer, to reduce the detection rate for crime to one-third of its previous level.

There is also an outreach programme called "gimme ya wallet" which works with the local paid community, and has branches in inner cities across the country. Donations go to help those in need, some of whom have gone without their heroin for up to three hours.

The Christian Burglars' Assocation has received moral support from the clergy, when North Yorkshire priest Tim Jones said that shoplifting was appropriate in hard times.[1]

The Christian Burglars' Association plans to hold its first annual conference later this year, venue to be confirmed at sentencing.
