Fun:Green link

The green link is a rare breed of links most often found on small wikis. Although the green link was once popular[citation NOT needed], it has been hunted nearly to extinction by wiki-users favoring the more conventional red and blue links[1].

Much speculation has been given as to the origin of the green link. The most widely accepted argument is that the green link was first spawned off the basic link structure of the older internet versions, which consisted of red and green links. However, the popular decision was that blue looked better then green, and thus began a mass extinction of green links.

Another group contends that green links simply spawned as a mutation from the blue links, owing to slight similarities in pigmentation in subsequent generations [2]

Regardless of how they came, green links have become rare[3]. Despite once thundering across the plains of the internet, green links are nearly extinct. Perhaps someday the green links may begin to make a comeback, but until then, it appears that the red and blue species have become the most dominant.

In their natural habitat, however, green links are often known for their playful nature. Although they no longer roam the fields of the internet, basic herd dynamics can be observed in the few remaining green links. Beyond that, little is known of green links, as they sadly went into their death spiral before more notes could be made of their behavior. Green links still appear on golf courses.

The green link, due to its medium size is a frequent target of aggressive white links, which use camouflage to sneak up and EAT green links. Badly built template

[edit] Evolution

The highly regarded scientific journal, Conservapedia, denies green links are either a product or victim of evolution. Instead, Conservapedia scientists determined green links are evidence of creationism, citing research showing green links are less than 6000 years old.

[edit] Ecology

Like other green products, green links may be recycled, depending upon the code stamped on their bottom.

[edit] Notes

  1. The most popularly cited reason is that they are more appealing to the eyes
  2. This is where the elusive purple link is believed to have arisen from, recessive alleles carried on the green species.
  3. Although not as rare as the orange link, a completely lethal mutation.
