Poetry

Poetry is an arrangement of words that sounds pretty and may actually, in rare cases (e.g. war poets), mean something, although this may not always be easily discernible.

While poetry can be taken slammed, it is usually best with a side of flowers.

Before Plato and Aristotle, scientific treatises were expected to be written in difficult highly metered poetry. In Plato's dialogues, Socrates constantly promises to finish a few but never does.

Some modern poems are written in free verse, and may not obey any particular metre or rhyme, but poems in pig-latin always rhyme.
