Rabies
From RationalWiki
Rabies is a cross-species viral disease. It is usually transmitted to humans by dogs, but other carriers include bats, raccoons, and cats. Thanks to vaccines, it has been fully or partially eliminated in many countries as a result of wildlife vaccination (which involves dropping edible vaccines into the wilderness) and human vaccination. For example, Norway, Sweden, Britain, Japan, Australia and New Zealand have all eliminated rabies.[1]
