Silverbrain.png SuspectedReplicant ceased his behavior. Two community votes were taken on Ace McWicked's actions, but aborted. Instead and with Ace McWicked's agreement, he has given up his sysop rights for a period of one month.

SuspectedReplicant and Ace McWicked

They started vandalizing Maratrean's page again, which is entirely boring and childish at this point. Nx took some temporary action and then gave them back their sysops, but I took them away again (especially after Ace put up a new intercom message designed to annoy. But now I have to go... hopefully some other mod will come online and help deal with any further fallout.--ADtalkModerator 23:39, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Give Ace and Suspected Replicant cool down/wrist slap blocks. We need a better procedure for dealing with these sorts of things. - π Moderator 23:51, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
Back now. I guess we could institute some sort of procedure, but I suspect it would just shackle us with more rules. The best rule would be, "Stop being so fucking boring in your vandalism," but that doesn't seem like it would get through to them.--ADtalkModerator 00:31, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
You know, I feel like I have been involved in all of these sorts of things recently. Maybe another mod could take some action here. Or say something to them. Or something.--ADtalkModerator 00:37, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Ace has continued to do this stuff, as Nx pointed out. I really, really don't think it's fair that I have to deal with it again. There are four other mods still around - surely someone else is willing to take up the very sort of thing we're supposed to be dealing with? Even if the response is just a laconic, "Let Ace do it, it's fine." or "Meh." Just some kind of response, maybe.--ADtalkModerator 01:18, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
Ace has pointed out he has not been doing this same thing (vandalizing Maratrean's userpage), but that the latest thing for which he has been Cooped is blocking Brx (a non-sysop) without cause or vote (pretty clearly abuse). To me it's all just Stuff Ace Is Doing at this point, but this may matter to others and it's a fair distinction.--ADtalkModerator 04:47, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
