Qur'an 54:1[edit]

The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.

Qur'an 54:1 Notes[edit]

This is yet another example of ridiculous theatrics in the Quran. To make judgement day even scarier...the moon will split in the sky.

Qur'an 54:2[edit]

Yet whenever they see a miracle, they turn away, and say, “Continuous magic.”

Qur'an 54:2 Notes[edit]

We are yet again bombarded with the horror of judgement day, another recurring mechanism of fear in the Quran.

Qur'an 54:3[edit]

They lied, and followed their opinions, but everything has its time.

Qur'an 54:3 Notes[edit]

The Quran insulting anyone who disagrees with this book.

Qur'an 54:4[edit]

And there came to them news containing a deterrent.

Qur'an 54:4 Notes[edit]

One great way to build a cult and propagate it is to isolate "believers" from those who are rightly sceptical of the nonsense being spouted.

Qur'an 54:5[edit]

Profound wisdom—but warnings are of no avail.

Qur'an 54:5 Notes[edit]

Another trope in the Quran is to label all the nonsense in here are "wisdom". If you keep calling it all sage, then it must be sage right?

Qur'an 54:6[edit]

So turn away from them. On the Day when the Caller calls to something terrible.

Qur'an 54:6 Notes[edit]

So clearly at judgement day, that separation from non-believers will be complete.

Qur'an 54:7[edit]

Their eyes humiliated, they will emerge from the graves, as if they were swarming locusts.

Qur'an 54:7 Notes[edit]

And now the loving forgiving Allah starts the process of hurting those who didn't believe.

Qur'an 54:8[edit]

Scrambling towards the Caller, the disbelievers will say, “This is a difficult Day.”

Qur'an 54:8 Notes[edit]

Not just hurting, invoking pointless terror and horror into their hearts. Burning them for eternity isn't enough...you have to induce panic and dread in them.

Qur'an 54:9[edit]

Before them the people of Noah disbelieved. They rejected Our servant, and said, “Crazy,” and he was rebuked.

Qur'an 54:9 Notes[edit]

Clearly the author of this book was really bitter from all the people calling the nonsense that he was spouting as "crazy".

Qur'an 54:10[edit]

So he appealed to his Lord, “I am overwhelmed, so help me.”

Qur'an 54:10 Notes[edit]

A retelling of the deeply horrific and immoral act...

Qur'an 54:11[edit]

So We opened the floodgates of heaven with water pouring down.

Qur'an 54:11 Notes[edit]

Where the kind loving and forgiving Allah murdered almost every human on Earth, including innocent children.

Qur'an 54:12[edit]

And We made the earth burst with springs, and the waters met for a purpose already destined.

Qur'an 54:12 Notes[edit]

...which seemed pre-planned meaning Allah knew his creations would be sinful but created them like that anyways so they would eventually be killed meaning Allah really thrives off of murder-rampages.

Qur'an 54:13[edit]

And We carried him on a craft of planks and nails.

Qur'an 54:13 Notes[edit]

Soooooooo....if you don't believe in the rapture...

Qur'an 54:14[edit]

Sailing before Our eyes; a reward for him who was rejected.

Qur'an 54:14 Notes[edit]

...just look at this story (with no evidence or proof)...

Qur'an 54:15[edit]

And We left it as a sign. Is there anyone who would take heed?

Qur'an 54:15 Notes[edit]

...where Allah's murderous rage happened before.

{{sura |1=54:17 |2=We made the Quran easy to learn. Is there anyone who would learn? |3=Easy to learn? Why then have people argued for centuries over how to implement even straight forwarded seeming rules?

Qur'an 54:16[edit]

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

Qur'an 54:16 Notes[edit]

The loving Allah lists his punishments.

Qur'an 54:18[edit]

Aad denied the truth. So how were My punishment and My warnings?

Qur'an 54:18 Notes[edit]

More horror theatrics.

Qur'an 54:19[edit]

We unleashed upon them a screaming wind, on a day of unrelenting misery.

Qur'an 54:19 Notes[edit]

Doesn't this inspire spiritual bliss?

Qur'an 54:20[edit]

Plucking the people away, as though they were trunks of uprooted palm-trees.

Qur'an 54:20 Notes[edit]

So harmoniously beautiful!

Qur'an 54:21[edit]

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

Qur'an 54:21 Notes[edit]

God is love!

Qur'an 54:22[edit]

We made the Quran easy to remember. Is there anyone who would remember?

Qur'an 54:22 Notes[edit]

Actually very few human beings have ever memorised the whole thing.

Qur'an 54:23[edit]

Thamood rejected the warnings.

Qur'an 54:23 Notes[edit]

Uh oh. Another character didn't buy into this nonsense.

Qur'an 54:24[edit]

They said, “Are we to follow one of us, a human being? We would then go astray, and end up in Hell.

Qur'an 54:24 Notes[edit]

And so he was sent to a made up realm in the afterlife.

Qur'an 54:25[edit]

Was the message given to him, out of all of us? In fact, he is a wicked liar.”

Qur'an 54:25 Notes[edit]

This is a story about people who called Muhammed an impostor.

Qur'an 54:26[edit]

They will know tomorrow who the wicked liar is.

Qur'an 54:26 Notes[edit]

This isn't surprising because there were countless so called "prophets" at the time.

Qur'an 54:27[edit]

We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and be patient.

Qur'an 54:27 Notes[edit]

None the less...apparantly Allah didn't like this and so the loving forgiving sky god destroyed them.

Qur'an 54:28[edit]

And inform them that the water is to be shared between them; each share of drink made available.

Qur'an 54:28 Notes[edit]

A dreaded story.

Qur'an 54:29[edit]

But they called their friend, and he dared, and he slaughtered.

Qur'an 54:29 Notes[edit]

Designed to inspire fear.

Qur'an 54:30[edit]

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

Qur'an 54:30 Notes[edit]

So that you will believe this nonsense.

Qur'an 54:31[edit]

We sent against them a single Scream, and they became like crushed hay.

Qur'an 54:31 Notes[edit]

Graphic descriptions of horror.

Qur'an 54:32[edit]

We made the Quran easy to understand. Is there anyone who would understand?

Qur'an 54:32 Notes[edit]

A common mechanism in the Quran. Keep repeating something until you can no longer resist its truthfulness.

Qur'an 54:33[edit]

The people of Lot rejected the warnings.

Qur'an 54:33 Notes[edit]

Oh dear God not another example....

Qur'an 54:34[edit]

We unleashed upon them a shower of stones, except for the family of Lot; We rescued them at dawn.

Qur'an 54:34 Notes[edit]

...of the loving forgiving God destroying an entire people.

Qur'an 54:35[edit]

A blessing from Us. Thus We reward the thankful.

Qur'an 54:35 Notes[edit]

Yes. All that horror was such a blessing.

Qur'an 54:36[edit]

He had warned them of Our onslaught, but they dismissed the warnings.

Qur'an 54:36 Notes[edit]

A fictional story that cannot be proven.

Qur'an 54:37[edit]

They even lusted for his guest, so We obliterated their eyes. “So taste My punishment and My warnings.”

Qur'an 54:37 Notes[edit]

And yet...it is used as evidence in this book.

Qur'an 54:38[edit]

Early morning brought upon them enduring punishment.

Qur'an 54:38 Notes[edit]

At least some of the other Surrahs pace the amount of horror in them, but this Surrah is just an endless litany of fear.

Qur'an 54:39[edit]

So taste My punishment and My warnings.

Qur'an 54:39 Notes[edit]

Wow...fear is meant to be experienced by various senses.

Qur'an 54:40[edit]

We made the Quran easy to memorize. Is there anyone who would memorize?

Qur'an 54:40 Notes[edit]

Huh..have I heard this before?

Qur'an 54:41[edit]

The warnings also came to the people of Pharaoh.

Qur'an 54:41 Notes[edit]

Oh sweet Jesus...yet another example...

Qur'an 54:42[edit]

They rejected Our signs, all of them, so We seized them—the seizure of an Almighty Omnipotent.

Qur'an 54:42 Notes[edit]

...where the loving forgiving Allah punishes a whole group of people for the sins of a leader.

Qur'an 54:43[edit]

Are your unbelievers better than all those? Or do you have immunity in the scriptures?

Qur'an 54:47 Notes[edit]

With horror.

Qur'an 54:48[edit]

The Day when they are dragged upon their faces into the Fire: “Taste the touch of Saqar.”

Qur'an 54:48 Notes[edit]

And more horror.

Qur'an 54:49[edit]

Everything We created is precisely measured.

Qur'an 54:49 Notes[edit]

This is a sort of evidence that God's plan is an ingenious mechanised symmetrical perfection.

Qur'an 54:50[edit]

And Our command is but once, like the twinkling of an eye.

Qur'an 54:50 Notes[edit]

As though all the horror that preceded this builds up to a cathartic beauty.

Qur'an 54:51[edit]

We have destroyed your likes. Is there anyone who would ponder?

Qur'an 54:51 Notes[edit]

Even though all these fictional stories happened...would you still dare doubt the coming appocalypse?

Qur'an 54:52[edit]

Everything they have done is in the Books.

Qur'an 54:52 Notes[edit]

So apparantly everything that has happened on Earth was recorded in the holy books.

Qur'an 54:53[edit]

Everything, small or large, is written down.

In an assembly of virtue, in the presence of an Omnipotent King.
