RationalWiki talk:RationalMedia Foundation/Voter registration
This could really use an announcement--"Shut up, Brx." 02:03, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Will there be early voting ? Or will that open it up to libbural fraud from unregistered voters and give us a result we do/don't want. Naca (talk) 06:09, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- The voting will start on January 15. And this is Foundation business, so keep the B-grade topical humor out of it, please.

- Yeah Foundation business isn't even of the level of toilet jokes. - π 23:47, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

- But seriously, will this be on the message log?--"Shut up, Brx." 13:55, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes. When we are near the time, it will be. Reckless Noise Symphony (talk) 13:57, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit] I vote RNS for King of Rational-Wiki
Because we need someone with a sense of humor in charge; Rat-Wiki just isn't Rat-Wiki with out it's parody and humor (and this is coming from a good-faith Conservapedian, a site which you all think has no sense of humor). DMorris, on the EIP Network 1 855 282 2882 15:53, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- But... you don't vote for kings! SophieWilder 09:40, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit] What's this, a new voter ID law?
Can I bring in ACORN to do a voter registration drive? Secret Squirrel (talk) 05:27, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- If you will recall, we had a deal of fraud at the last moderator election, mostly Nx voting with half-a-dozen-odd socks. This is an attempt to prevent such a thing from happening again.

- I do remember that... Secret Squirrel (talk) 05:52, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
- Is there a specific rule that says one cannot vote with socks, or is the rule more that you cannot get caught doing so? --DamoHi 06:40, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- I'd imagine that if a sock is caught then its vote is discounted. At least this way known socks can get removed before voting starts. If socks can vote then I'll dig out all my previous/alternate/sock/lulzyusername accounts. SophieWilder 13:14, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, the point it that we are going to be looking for and weeding out sock votes. Moreover, should someone decide to attempt to vote with a sock, the Board of Trustees (not the moderators) plans to level heavy sanctions against any user caught doing so. [edit] @Cracker
The more common the format and the less cluttered the list is, the easier it can be regexed. So, let's add all our witty remarks to this talk-page. --larron (talk) 21:10, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
