Description[edit]

A most delicious, orgasm-inducing caramelised puff pastry, vanilla cream flavoured with a touch of old dark rum.

  • Preparation time: 25 minutes
  • Cooking time: About 30 minutes
  • Cost: Reasonable
  • Difficulty: Requires some skill
  • Only for liberals.

Ingredients[edit]

  • 3/4 cup vanilla cream
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 10 ounces puff pastry
  • Caramel sauce

Directions[edit]

  • Heat the oven to 200 C/400 F/Gas 7. Thaw the Pastry and roll out thinly. Cut into 3ins. rounds (you will need 12 for 4 servings) and put these out on a flat baking sheet. Cover these with a sheet of non stick paper and then with a second baking sheet (this stops them from rising in the oven).
  • Bake until golden brown on both sides (10 to 12 min.) Leave these to cool.
  • Add the rum to the vanilla cream and whip to soft peaks.
  • To assemble: (Do this just before you serve)

Put a round of pastry on each plate and put a blob of cream on top, and then another round of pastry and so on. Three storey ones look even better but are difficult to manage. Serve with caramel sauce dribbled over the top.

  • Enjoy in front of a conservative so they can see what they're missing.
