The Revolutionary Communist Party in the United Kingdom is a Trotskyist political party active during the 1980s (formed 1978, disbanded 1997), whose former members have now mutated towards extreme libertarianism and, through the likes of Spiked Online and the Institute of Ideas, infiltrated much of British media and politics with a deliberately perverse and confrontational ideology (i.e. Rupert Murdoch should be hailed as a revolutionary Marxist hero for undermining the power of the BBC and other old-establishment institutions).
Not to be confused with the Revolutionary Communist Party (US) which is Maoist.
