San Marino

The Republic of San Marino is a European city-state entirely enclaved by Italy and named after Dan Marino. The most interest you could get out of this country is how old it is: oldest sovereign state, oldest constitutional republic, and oldest constitution still in effect. It's also really small (61 sq km, or 24 sq mi), and one of the most popular sports is crossbow archery. Other than that, there's not a lot of reason for it be much of relevance in today's world, though the country is rather (in)famous for its national football (soccer) team, famous for frequently getting blown out by other teams, and with only one victory in its history, a 1-0 victory over fellow minnows Liechtenstein in 2004.
