Sex work
From RationalWiki
Sex work is a term used to describe the provision of sexual pleasure for pay, including not only prostitution, but also the production of pornography as well as other occupations such as stripping, phone sex, professional BDSM, and the like where direct sexual activity between the provider and the customer does not take place, and can also include sex education, porn and sex toy retail, and sex therapy, depending on how exactly you wish to define the term.
The term sex worker was first coined by activist Carol Leigh at a conference in 1978.[1] More recently it has been used by those who work in the industry to avoid the stigma traditionally associated with terms like prostitute.
