I live in the same town as one of the churches featured in "Jesus Land." Majintahu

Truly stunning, the category section is nearly as long as the article itself. The unbusinesslikeman of business 00:09, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Overweight?[edit]

Really? Fat jokes? JubalHarshaw (talk) 02:55, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Devil's advocate here (and a hearty Chickesque "HAW HAW HAW!" as well) but gluttony is a sin. It is kinda hammered home a lot in the Bible. Just something I personally noticed growing up Pentecostal was how fat a lot of bible thumpers and pastors were. It doesn't help that Becky mentions kids not willing to give up meals to fast when she clearly isn't practicing what she preaches.I admit it is a cheap shot but not without some merit.PeeBay (talk) 10:42, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

The article is now longer[edit]

After a prolonged battle between me, Mikal, Stabby and ToP the article is now longer than the list of categories. Proxima Centauri (talk) 20:17, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

"Prolonged"? Gosh, it must be exhausting to have other people clean up after you. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 20:43, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Questions[edit]

Since someone is making a point that this article is now "longer", why is it so vague and hollow. This woman is freaky. surly we can put a better article up about her. 1. who is richard metzger, and why is his opinion worthy of it's own line? 2. Why do we not have a solid section on "criticism", rather than one author who's opinion is not justified in line? (Ie., renound psychologists Richard Mezger... or whatever). 3. Such a quote needs explanation. what is she doing and why, and what is the actual problem with it? i would assume, terrifying children, or using hypnosis like chants to warp their little minds - but we should be specific, rather than just "people like her are bad". 4. How is she different from any other fundamentalist, if she even is. How is going to this camp, different from going to any other bible camp (and i assure you, having gone to safe ol' middle america bible camp, it is quite different).

If we are going to bother expanding an article, do we really want ot just toss in poorly addressed topics cause it "lengthens" it? --Green mowse.pngGodot She was a venus demilo in her sister's jeans 20:53, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

Why don't you ask Ed Poor, uh, I mean Proxima Centauri? Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 20:55, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
I was kinda hoping that's what i did. by the way, why say "demons, excorcism and other bullshit". It's petty. it's beneath us. of course it's bullshit. if you want to be RW and link some other word to BS, that's ok or even fun. but just name calling is silly.--Green mowse.pngGodot She was a venus demilo in her sister's jeans 21:46, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
Wow, we stole most of this word for word from wikipedia. --Green mowse.pngGodot She was a venus demilo in her sister's jeans 21:49, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
What was taken from Wikipedia?
The Wikipedia article as it was when Godot and I were working on this one.
The RW article when I last edited it. Proxima Centauri (talk) 14:10, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
