Good luck[edit]

Good luck trying to get information on the university. There is not much useful information on their website. I went on their website and found nothing about their campus with the exception of a church. --Rationalzombie94 (talk) 20:48, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Cedarville University faculty qualifications[edit]

I made an interesting discovery on the CU website- one of the Geology professor's has a Masters of Science in Geology from the Institute for Creation Research. I added this information to the Cedarville page. I am not sure why the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools would allow this? If anyone goes to the science faculty page you will have to click on the names of each staff member and it mentions qualifications in each faculty bio. I admit I looked through it for more information to get extra article material, it is a pain to do so.--Rationalzombie94 (talk) 23:44, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

About Cedarville[edit]

Hey, my brother goes to this school, so I'm using a throwaway. They're simultaneously weirder and less weird than you'd think. One thing that I noticed on your page was the movie policy. It's not really all that enforced. I mean, don't watch porn there unless you want to have a bad time, but there's also a film club who's watching Christopher Nolan's films, and were watching Memento, which was rated R in the United States.

I'll admit, however, the dorm rules are kinda stupid. They have common rooms that all genders can be in, but I (his sister) am not allowed in his dorm, even to help move in or move out.

The Cedarville Covenant bit is spot on, which is the main reason why I will not be considering Cedarville for my education.

"or contain irreverent or sacrilegious slogans" is true for decorations, but not so much board games. One of the most popular board games there is Spirit Island, which is a board game where you play nature spirits trying to eradicate the western settlers.

The bit with the pharmacy program makes a bit more sense in context. (kinda) A confirmation of faith is required for everything. Also, there's a mandatory Bible minor required for graduation in anything.

Also, a lot of the problems can be boiled down to one person: Dr. Thomas White. The university used to be much closer to center-right before him. He's very Southern Baptist (what you think of as the kinda wacky Baptists) and one of the first things he did was fire all of the women in the Theology department.

I hope this helped at all!
