Dates[edit]

Wouldn't the American dates be 9/10/11 or 9/11/11? ThunderkatzHo! 21:55, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Sorry. It's late in my timezone.--ZooGuard (talk) 22:01, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Despair[edit]

I just found out that this article is on the 13th page of the search results in Google (the first 12 pages are filled mostly with bullshit). And I can't finish it right now because a) I'm supposed to be doing other things, and b), my head starts to hurt by just reading the titles of the stuff that's out there. Today some idiot declared that Leonid Elenin is fake... in the comments section of Leonid Elenin's blog. Apparently, if you don't have a (picture on your) Facebook profile, you don't exist. *facepalm*--ZooGuard (talk) 18:25, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

It's page 16 now. :'( --ZooGuard (talk) 17:57, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Most of this stuff will get integrated in the article.--ZooGuard (talk) 21:23, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Omerbashich notices this page[edit]

...and apparently doesn't know what a "wiki" is:

GOOGLE'S RATING SYSTEM ALSO LOVES ANOTHER LOONY WHO FELT PRIMEVAL URGE (CALL TO ARMS) NAMED TRENT TOULOUSE, A MASONIC-LOOKING OBESE STUDENT (PSYCHOLOGY -- COO COO) FROM HAMILTON CANADA, WHO OWNS A WEBSITE CALLED "RATIONAL WIKI" (OXYMORON). AT FIRST GLANCE HE HAS A HUGE INFERIORITY COMPLEX HE TRIES TO SELF-CURE BY SPEWING HATRED ON THE INTERNET, LIKE WHEN SCRIBBLING ABOUT THE COMET ELENIN AND AT THE SAME TIME PROMOTING THE ABOVE AUSSIE PHARMACIST WHOM HE DESCRIBES AS "ASTRONOMER" (NOT SURPRISING FROM A COO-COO STUDENT TURNED SCIENTIST-WANNABE...)

Dead links[edit]

Three of Ian Musgrave's posts about Comet Elenin have been taken down due to DMCA requests today: http://astroblogger.blogspot.com/2011/07/if-you-are-looking-for-comet-elenin-faq.html Who was that asshole? Omerbashich? The contents are still available in Google's cache ([2], etc.), I managed to save them.--ZooGuard (talk) 17:42, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Possibly coincides with him threatening RW. If you've got as much of it saved as possible can you put it in a user subpage for now? ADK...I'll vomit your orc! 17:44, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Click on the links above. The first one lists the URLs of the posts taken down. Paste them in Google with "cache:" as a prefix.--ZooGuard (talk) 17:47, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Must certainly be Omerbashich by the looks of the post that was taken down. It might be worth dropping a line to Musgrave, noting that we've also had some behind-the-scenes emails and that filing false DMCA claims (check out the VFX saga from last year for details) are criminal acts. ADK...I'll masturbate your mop! 17:51, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Bitter almonds[edit]

Spectroscopy has discovered hydrogen cyanide in the comet's coma.[3] Guess how the CEF crowd will react are reacting...--ZooGuard (talk) 11:12, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

That's a perfectly normal compound to find in space... I can never tell when ATS/GLP posters are taking the piss out of themselves or being deadly serious. ADK...I'll swallow your Volkswagen! 13:08, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Needs more information[edit]

I'm getting nauseous just thinking of all the stuff I need to read and write to get this finished... By the way, the comet seems to be disintegrating. :)--ZooGuard (talk) 10:06, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Gone[edit]

Well, this can only make the conspiracy theorists worse... ADK...I'll lather your lockpick! 07:28, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I've been following the story sporadically ever since the comet dropped in magnitude around the perihelion. Sorry about the lack of updates, offline life intruded badly.--ZooGuard (talk) 11:55, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

DMCA complaint[edit]

Due to a DMCA complaint some material has been removed. A counter claim has been submitted and at the end of the 10 day waiting period material can be restored unless a court order is issued. tmtoulouse 01:21, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
