On Hannah Graham's disappearance[edit]

Schlussel and VT[edit]

I don't have a link for this, but in the aftermath of Seung-Hui Cho's attacks at Virginia Tech, Schlussel noted that the early press reports said that the perpetrator was (believed to be?) an "Asian male" and linked it to the the common right-wing meme that the press (or police?) conceals the race of criminals out of "political correctness." She concluded that the shooter must be a Muslim, because All Terrorists Are Muslims, and furthermore, through either just an assertation or some convoluted, forgettable logic, must be Pakistani. She said "paki", of course, making it the only time I've seen an American use that slur. Obviously, Cho wasn't actually a Pakistani Muslim terrorist but Schlussel didn't back down. — Unsigned, by: 184.35.7.242 / talk / contribs 19:27, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
