Talk:Geert Wilders
[edit] Racism
Right now the article calls him a white supremacist based on one somewhat ambiguous comment about "non-Western minorities". Can anyone more familiar with his views than I maybe provide links to people who've analysed his writing and commentary and come to the same conclusion? Balaam (talk) 17:50, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, and also I've read a lot of other white supremacists who think that Wilders is secretly a tool of the Zionist agenda because he's apparently pro-Israel. Therefore, even though they agree on how Muslims and Arabs are "inferior," they won't support Wilders. Generally speaking, Islamophobia is a combination of religious and racial bigotry. A lot of people with a woeful lack of knowledge about Islam assume that Muslims and Arabs are the same thing. The concept of non-Arab Muslims, or non-Muslim Arabs, is rather foreign to them. Arabs who aren't Muslims are can also experience Islamophobia-based racism. Wykked Wytch (talk) 21:31, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- Well, to start...
- Has he given any coherent justification about getting rid of kosher?
- That ethnic job complaints crap looks like it's taken completely from the "secure the border" crowd in the US.
- Banning the Qur'an and halting of all immigration from Muslim-dominated countries is quite familiar to something passed over 80 years ago.
- If he doesn't want to be called a racist, he's doing a terrible job at it. Osaka Sun (talk) 23:24, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- This article is so extremely biased it was painful to read. Ad hominem attacks and wishful thinking makes me think it was written by left-wing lunatics. Statement that he's "racist asshole" is questionable since he cooperated with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, another VVD member, to reduce immigration from arab countries. And he regards himself as "right-wing liberal" not "far-right liberal". — Unsigned, by: 92.39.81.126 / talk / contribs 07:00, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

You've been a naughty, naughty little mosque and you're going to bed without any supper. Balaam (talk) 18:07, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
[edit] Sole member WTF
If he's the "sole member" of the PVV, how come it has so many seats in various legislative bodies? Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 02:23, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
- Traditionally, parties are a "vereniging", which roughly translates to "foundation" or "association", and usually have tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of members, who then vote on important decisions in the party (leaders, programs, etc. it varies by party); but you don't need to be a member to get on the electoral list (& thus get voted on) for the parliament elections, and this organisation is mostly by convention; there is a legal minimum of 1 member (Wilders in this case).
