Talk:Gospel of Mary

I would like to develop the "Mary as church leader" section, but I need to see if i can find King's book on Mary, first. Also, we should add a page on Gnosticism, since so many non-caniconical works focus on it, and since, quite frankly, it's very likely Jesus was a true Gnostic, despite the corruptions of the Pauline church. (Pure opinion, of course. but any time I can rag on Conservative Christians and shake them up a bit I like to.) --WaitingforGodot 10:55, 16 July 2008 (EDT)

While I, frankly, have zero idea about this topic you'd better be careful with user:AKjeldsen - Th unsure.gif he takes the interpretation of these myths stories fables most seriously academically.--Bobbing up 11:23, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
Well, someone has to keep you guys from embarrassing yourself too badly. In any case, I suspect that Waiting and I are reasonably in agreement when it comes to the academic aspects of these things. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 14:11, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
What, there's an academic aspect to these things? I thought Goddidit. --WaitingforGodot 15:35, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
Well, of course he did. But since he also created the academic fields and, needless to say, made history a clear first among equals, it all fits together. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 15:49, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
I *really* want to finish my Gospel of mary, then go shoot it onto some um... other pedias that claim to be all factual and all, and see how long it stays up. Mary, a female leader of a church? You've got to be kidding us. Jesus hated women, don't you know. That's why abortion is a sin sin sin, and any woman who has icky sex, must both hate it AND pay the Eve's sin for 9 months! I want to be called a Blasphemer at least once in my psuedo-academic career. hehe--WaitingforGodot 15:59, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
I'll give it an hour, tops. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 16:12, 16 July 2008 (EDT)
