Talk:Hostile media effect

This reminds me of David Mitchell going on about "bias" on the BBC. The government had complained about them using the term "cuts" rather than "savings" and then the opposition complained about them using "savings" instead of "cuts". The bias really wasn't with the BBC but with the political opinionistas that were complaining about it. Would that be worth including as a relevant example? sshole 14:50, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'd be inclined to say no since that's more an example of political leaders attempting to shoehorn their own bias into news stories than honestly "seeing" bias where none exists. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 15:25, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- It was a bit of both, I think. But Mitchell's point was definitely about it being impossible for a news organisation to be "neutral" when it's watchers were so biased. sshole 15:33, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
