title[edit]

there's something really wrong about this title. Maybe something like "Creationist quote mines?" or something. Pink mowse.pngGodotGrow a vagina 23:16, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

'Quotes out of context' can occur in any context (see 'the media' and politicians complaints for another mine of misquotes).

I think that when Stanley said "... does not consist of a solitary line ..." that he meant it consists of more than one line instead of merely only one. I think when the Watchtower quoted it (in their Life book) they thought (or wanted others to think) he meant there wasn't any line, not even one.

Freemason Quotes[edit]

Should we include any of these? Albert6 Pike, Manly P. Hall, William Guy Carr, etc.--サトセレ (talk) 10:25, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Should definitely include scientists talking about religion like Hawking and Einstein's views on the existence of God. King Skeleton (talk) 10:45, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
I can't tell if that was sarcasm or not.--サトセレ (talk) 10:46, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
No, I mean those quotes are constantly taken out of context when creationists are doing the "smart people who believed in god" act. Einstein even later commented on how they'd tried to paint his views as a statement of faith in the Christian god. King Skeleton (talk) 10:55, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Ah, all right then. i was talking about how antimason sites quotemine freemasons like this:
