Why don't we have a main space page for this?[edit]

The lack of a real article surprised me, there's plenty to talk about, environmental destruction, child obesity etc. And there's a lot of woo surround McDonalds, like the persistent myth of nuggets being made of pink gloop, and that the burger buns don't rot due to evil chemiculz (it's due to lack of moisture.) Madattak (talk) 23:02, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Whuh?[edit]

What is this malarkey? Should this just be deleted? If you want a real article on McDonald's, I could grunt one out. (I joined the club forever ago and failed to deliver somehow anyway) Thoughts?--Colonel Sanders (talk) 02:17, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Please do grunt one out. Ronald will be grateful. Sam Tally-ho! 02:21, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
I started one-it can be found here.--Colonel Sanders (talk) 02:46, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Do you want spermatozoa with that?[edit]

In the UK (I think it is global) SmackDonalds have a horrible jingle/advert-thing where they play a tune, da-da-da-da-daaaaa (obviously there is no tune data there...), and then sing "We're loving it". But the actual lyric should be "There's cum in it". A puerile joke, but nice and demeaning to CrackDonalds, I feel it treats MuckDonalds with the same kind of respect they have for society.

But a gag too juvenile to be included in this article? I think the mocking of adverts and marketing is essential as ads etc. are industry's primary propaganda tool, any joke helps undermine their anti-social agendas as it can spoil their "brand image". 82.36.229.139 (talk) 12:49, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

But every joke needs to be funny. Nullahnung (talk) 13:41, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Bad luck[edit]

In some circles it is considered bad luck to say the name out loud. Adherents of this worldview instead refer to it as “The Scottish Restaurant”, except in Scotland. Mr Larrington (talk) 11:29, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

That's most likely just a silly joke made by wacky actors who believe in the superstitions about The Scottish Play (Macbeth), which is taken much more seriously.2601:201:897F:E8A0:AD67:64F6:272:F1D3 (talk)

That Illuminati thing...[edit]

Right guys, I did some digging on the Wayback Machine to find this mythical playlist. The channel, TheFreemasonCrew seems to have been deleted, but I found the first video in the playlist on their backup channel. (Apparently the original had MIILIONS of views?! What the f@ck?!)

I kinda wanna delete that Illuminati bit in the article because I feel like the Law of Poe is in full effect (everybody in the house show mad respect)! Like, come on there is no way anyone ACTUALLY seriously propagates this. I kept Googling "McDonald's Illuminati" to see what comes up and I get nada. No articles from The Conversation, or the Associated Press, or even like, a Rebecca Watson/Potholer54 video, ya know, something! This is a meme. Right? Right...? Guys...? (Fml, I can't tell if this Le Epic Troll or what. That video is so bad it's funny. It CAN'T be serious.)

But yeah, if ye wanna keep it, I think the ref is dead for good. Couldn't really find the rest of the playlist, but some of you might have more luck. Peace. - Rairyu75 (Talk) 04:20, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

Better ask Bongolian. He's been to one of their meetings. Whether he's a member or not, I do not know. Arcadium Trancefer (talk) 12:27, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
@Arcadium Trancefer Speak thee not of the assassin, lest we be assassinated.
But yeah, gang, Imma boot that Illuminati bit. With the dead link ref and the dubious intention of the (now deleted) channel that gave birth to it I think it might as well have a [citation needed] after it - and I dug and I dug and there are no citations forthcoming. But if there is some organised vandalism of McDonalds worldwide that is being carried out by the enemies of the Illuminati than let us know and we can add some refs. Peace! - Rairyu75 (Talk) 04:13, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
