This text was added to the essay version of this article by an anonymous editor, but not in any section. I would add it in here, but I'm not sure if or where it belongs. WěǎšěǐǒǐďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 16:57, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Election fraud in the United States is low and that fraud has had a minimal impact on electoral outcomes but people still do it. For example in the 2008 presidential election, Republicans charged ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) for fraudulently registered voters. They then tried to link the Obama campaign to ACORN and found that Obama's campaign did pay an ACORN associate $800,000 to conduct "get-out-the-vote" projects. As a result, the ACORN political action committee endorsed Obama for president.

The signs of fascism look suspiciously like the South today. I really need to get my degree and move north. Tyrannis (talk) 14:52, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Losing the argument[edit]

These rightwingers have reached the 'comparing X to Hitler (or Stalin), so have lost the argument' stage. (What is the law I am paraphrasing - forgotten the name) 82.44.143.26 (talk) 16:38, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Update[edit]

Could one of our political junkies give this a look-see? Тytalk 02:00, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Other than the Hitler mustache placed on pictures of him, I can't say I've ever heard him called a fascist or a Nazi (not that it's never happened, I'm sure). Obama and communism seems more relevant to me. Sam Tally-ho! 02:07, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Oh yeah, it was one of the reasons why the Rally to Restore Sanity was so important last year. See Lewis Black's "Nazi Tourettes." The wingnuts knew they couldn't use the commie card anymore, so they instead they did the opposite and went all Jonanism on us.
On the warning signs in the article:
1. Compared to what his right-wing opponents do, no way in hell. "He's anti-'Murrican" is one of their main talking points.
2. All correct there. Aside from Israel and Iraq, Obama's a conventional neocon on foreign policy.
3. If you're dumb enough to call Wall Street executives scapegoats, then yes.
4. While he hasn't done close to enough on trimming down the MIC, and the occasional "support the troops" comment (common for every POTUS now), he's again nothing like his Republican counterparts.
5. This is why the definition of JAQing off exists.
6. Excluding the Obama love in the 2008 elections, nada. Even the hype surrounding bin Laden's killing was short-lived. If we saw the media cowering in fear (similar to the Iraq War coverage in the mid-2000s), then I'd be worried.
7. See #2. And the PATRIOT Act isn't gone yet.
8. Seriously?
9. Ok, we've gotta change that. Corporate donations are pouring in now (oh yes, he is such a lefty).
10. Organized labour is seen more favourably with the Dems. If Obama tries to pull a fast one all union support will disappear in an instant.
11. If he was anti-intellectual it'd be on the wiki by now.
12. Obama hasn't lifted a finger on crime laws. While he's not obsessed, he still hasn't done anything about it.
13. Solyndra and that's it. And a little less Goldman Sachs in government positions would always be a good thing.
14. Cue the ACORN conspiracy. And this is old, we've had one election since (and we got a bunch of retards into Congress with it).
15. See #7, but even calling the PATRIOT Act the Gestapo is stretching a bit.
I rolled back ConservapediaEditor's edits. We just need to make some updates in a few places. Osaka Sun (talk) 03:25, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Getting rid of this Obama idolatry could be a nice start.  This is why this site is a fucking joke.  Of course, Obama's not Hitler, but this article is peddling utter bullshit that Obama is this idealistic President, purely based upon what he says (as opposed to his actions) is just intellectually dishonest.  ConservapediaEditor (talk) 03:35, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Where is the idolatry you're talking about? We have a tl,dr essay completely antithetical to what you're saying. He's Bush-lite in many aspects.
Stop the trolling and read around. Osaka Sun (talk) 03:37, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
(EC)"This is why this site is a fucking joke." Perhaps if you demonstrated giving a rat's ass about improving the wiki, your criticism would be taken more seriously. Blue (is useful) 03:38, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Hell, even check our main Obama page. What else has he been editing here that's been total bullshit? Osaka Sun (talk)

Hoax[edit]

Um, you guys know that Lawrence Britt isn't a real person right? At least he's not actually a doctor, nor did he claim to be. The fourteen points appears to be an internet hoax. ClothCoat (talk) 07:25, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
