Wait...therapeutic touch doesn't actually involve touching? Even aside from the other silliness, they should be sued just for the false advertising. --jtltalk 15:04, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

You have to "sense and alter the energy field". Any more than that is extra.--PalMD-yada yada 15:05, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
hehehehe, beat me to the "happy finish" quip...XD liessmokemirrors 15:07, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

I'm not familiar enough with it, although I've known practitioners, but does Reiki fall under this, or is it more of a "well being" thing and not really a pseudoscience? --Kels 12:15, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

Reiki is a different field, but probably still a pseudoscience at this point as it has not been able to be successfully validated.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 12:29, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
It involves actual touching, so even if it's a pseudoscience (I don't know what claims it makes), it's a different one. It seems to me massage just needs to make the "it feels good" claim to justify its existence, but whadda I know? --jtltalk 13:01, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Okay, ignore that entirely. Search, THEN write. I had Reiki confused with those foot massage chaps. --jtltalk 13:02, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
You're thinking reflexology, I think, which is again something I'm only glancingly familiar with. --Kels 13:17, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
You know, I had a comment here...weird...anyway, Reiki is a different field from TT, they make similar claims, etc, but have different practice and "theories". Reiki has not yet been proved effective, so it prob is a pseudoscience, but it is different from TT.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 13:05, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Now the comment has reappeared...teh internets are weired.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 13:06, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
I accidentally deleted it, then noticed and fixed it, but you'd already seen it was gone. Sorry about that! (I need to remember not to hid 'edit' when I'm not positive I'm reading the current version of the page) --jtltalk 13:21, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Why do the headers on this article have numbers? Is that some weird wiki glitch? Genghis Khant 02:25, 8 October 2007 (EDT)
