Let's talk Turkey!
Dunno much about it (shame!), but didn't Turkey go non-established under Ataturk - no veils in Uni -etc. & aren't they now blesséd with a muslim governing party who might erode the seperation of church/state. SusanMiouw 21:47, 7 February 2008 (EST)
- I think that's pretty much correct. They went secular; but there are fears they might slip. Much as the U.S. is poised to leave "old earth" in favor of being a country located on "young earth". human

- Not going to happen. If AKP were to so much think of breaking down the separation beyond the purely symbolic, such as wearing veils and such, the military would kick them out immediately. Not that I think they want to do that; there's not much difference between AKP and most of e.g. the European christian democratic parties. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 04:25, 8 February 2008 (EST)

[edit] My friend David
has an organic turkey farm and invited me over yesterday for a "harvest." I had to decline, but next time I'll go and get so pictures to brighten up the article a bit. Perhaps use some of SusanG's new colours? Carptrash 22:22, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
[edit] One of my weirdest dreams....
A few nights ago, I had a very weird dream. Eleven poisonous kumquats which had a Mr. Yuk sticker put on them which would be their face led by a singing Amish pickle (or something like that) marched in from the northwest and took over Turkey. Then, a top hat the size of the Empire State Building came in and ate all the kumquats. The pickle was eaten by a scrawny cow (that resembled a coyote) which Richard Dawkins was riding. A bunch of people then danced and chanted around the top hat, waving spears around. Some bikers with hexagrams (not pentagrams) on their heads then rode off of a cliff while playing tubles (tuba + bugle). Noah then came up, fell down, threw up, and passed out. Dawkins poked Noah with a stick repeatedly. The planet Saturn came down, announced his real name was Bill, and entered a well-paying career as a psychologist.
