[edit] Declared a national security threat by United States
Surely this is worth noting?

- It's also worth noting that a nation being declared a national security threat is apparently, for whatever reason, a required first step before the US can impose sanctions on that nation or its leaders/officials, so whether it's genuinely considered a security threat is not very clearcut. But yeah, this certainly seems noteworthy, so feel free to add it to the article. 141.134.75.236 (talk) 21:40, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
I would say it's because the smaller stick of a coup failed so now the US is tossing all subtlety out the window and marching wholesale into the realm of absurdity. 24.20.65.149 (talk) 21:57, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
