Venusian history[edit]

Topic for suitably minded/knowledgeable person - the geological history of Venus (Venerological/Aphritologiclal...) - from normal-for-locality-and-size rocky planet to the present form. Was there any point in Venus' past when the process of global warming-turned planetary melting could have been stopped ('carbon munching bacteria' or 'bizarre catalytic converter substance which produces gunk which can be turned into oil' (using local oxygen, hydrogen and sulphur etc seem vaguely plausible SF devices 212.85.6.26 (talk) 17:10, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
