Is this really needed? Elassint Throw things at me

I think that it is, so that we can show how these people have to distort the English language in an effort to justify their beliefs.--Bobbing up 05:06, 20 November 2007 (EST)
Volkenhass is no German word, Wolkenhass would be the nearest feasible one - but that's "hating clouds" or perhaps "hate of clouds". --LArron 11:16, 5 November 2008 (EST)
I suspect 'Volkshass' would be better. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 11:54, 5 November 2008 (EST)
Actually, it's 'Völkerhass' (why stop with one, when you can hate so many ) - it has this pretty Umlaut, too :-)
OTOH, Völkerfreundschaft (friendship between people) is more common --LArron 12:11, 5 November 2008 (EST)
Well, "Völkerfreundschaft" was apparently a term used in the former GDR (East Germany). I had to google it myself, since I, as a Wessie (west-german), never heard it before. The correct german term would be "Völkerverständigung", which could (roughly) be translated as "dialog between peoples". "Völkerhass", on the other hand, is not a very comman term, and I have never heard it being used as anything else than a warning. (google.de produces ~250k results for "Völkerverständigung", 50k for "Völkerfreundschaft" and only 5k for "Völkerhass". Gmb (talk) 22:27, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
