Patents or copyright?[edit]

The page says "defend its patented series of postures", but the recent ruling was op copyright, not patents. Is there also some patent non-sense going on here? Or is this just a confusion? Carpetsmoker (talk) 03:43, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

Whats this about?[edit]

Is this about yoga or bikram yoga specifically? Pretty weak either way AMassiveGay (talk) 07:08, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Uhhhhh?[edit]

Ok. I get there's a lot, a lot, a lot of woo attached to yoga. Absolutely. However, there's concrete science backing the physical/mental benefits of yoga. This article currently pays lip service to that by saying "helps with chronic back pain" but it actually has been demonstrated to lower stress levels, do tons of good for the heart, help cultivate a positive outlook mentally, facilitate quicker recover after strenuous exercise, etc etc. Instead of opening with a quote that essentially sums to YOGA IS SO STUPID YOU CAN STRETCH YOUR WAY INTO PSYCHOPATHIC EUPHORIA LOLOLOLOL", why not tease out the psuedoscience from the substantiated benefits? This attitude that immediately seeks to ridicule because of some of the aspects of the practice (optional, by the way) is just as problematic and dogmatic as someone who thinks 30 minutes of tadasana 5 days a week will cure cancer. — Unsigned, by: 129.114.240.151 / talk / contribs
