Cats
We need a cat for source texts. not "namespace candidates", but actually something descriptive. I'm not sure "source" is the best word, though I like your (or whoever's) idea about "reference".
What I'm not sure is what types of references we have, that we can make useful cats for.
Any ideas?
All of the pages in the source namespace candidates category are what you might call "reference" pages. Simply changing the cat's name to "source documents" would do the trick for now, though I remain entirely skeptical that "source texts" belong in mainspace at all.
Well, until they have a home, grins, we need to cat them. :-) I do like your term "reference pages" better than "source texts.
wanna make a 2 woman vote? if anyone else cares, let them change it?
- -)
Heh, why not? "Glinda Godot, come with me. Think of what we could do together. Unlimited, together we're unlimited! ..."
I am ashamed to say i *still* have not seen Wicked. sighs...
I'm a musical-a-phile, but like most things in life, as you get set into your job, and 9-5 days, and shoving all your fun into weekends, you lose track of new (well, not so new, but still) musicals, new bands, new movies, new starlets. etc.
so i jsut ignore it all. I only know it cause of Glee. pathatic, huh?
I see, I see it. But considering I'm so close to Broadway I have no excuse.
Ohohoho Glee. Glee and I don't see eye to eye on some things, but, well, some of my best friends are Gleeks, so far be it from me to lash out.....
You know, I live in a backwater state in a lame city and I still somehow get to see musicals. You two have no excuse!
Glee is not about reality, blue. :-) it's about turning off your senses and being silly for an hour. :-)
Ty, it's got nothing to do with where i lve. Denver gets musicals about 1 year behind (we are just getting the Morman show - name illudes me right now. It's about the whole "what, leave the house? take a shower? do this on a friday night? Stay out past 8?" thing that hits you when you get too set in your ways.
I gave up on Glee after the second episode after the Rocky Horror one. And even more after the Christmasy one. -____-
LOVED me some christmas glee! And it's about the only show that has an openly atheist character.
Broadway doesn't seem to be interested in much besides cranking out jukebox musicals these days. Built-in fan-base + pre-written music = $$$PROFIT$$$
That's been my biggest problme with teh new "musicals". They are all about "Billy Joel - in his own words" and "Abba - mamma mia". some are new stories, some are the life and times of the musician. all are just aweful.
Who wants to hear a non elton sing elton?
Well, I'd agree the majority are crap, but there are still gems being cranked out. Billy Elliot. Book of Mormon. Avenue Q and Wicked a few years back... The trend toward musicals based on popular films is more troubling for me than the odd Mamma Mia.
