What a horrific way of trying to get someone into a genre. It would be like me trying to get someone interested in Wagner by giving them this. I find it beautiful and meaningful, but chances are someone who's already prejudiced against the genre isn't going to be magicked into sharing my opinion...

Hehe, I'm sure. Well, I'm assured people do actually enjoy it, but we must naturally part ways again. The type of jazz I don't mind tends to come out in bizarre ways, like in Frank Ticheli's Blue Shades.
It's pretty good, but it's more at the Gershwin-y intersection of jazz and classical.
That's just where I like to be. Rhapsody in Blue (heh) pretty much exemplifies my ideal jazz-ish thing.
