I am confused

The FDA has put scores of royal food testers out of work with its communist central planning. If only the people were free to test their own food for botulism!

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)20:19, 30 January 2012

If we all ate organic we would not need to test our food.

Talsley (talk)20:20, 30 January 2012

True -- Mama Gaia would never allow organic food to be contaminated with infectious diseases such as E. Coli.

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)20:24, 30 January 2012

Or listeria

 Lily Inspirate me.20:26, 30 January 2012

People are only vulnerable to these diseases due to the effects of city living and the effects of industrialization, mostly air conditioning and plastics, on the humans immune system.

Talsley (talk)20:28, 30 January 2012

Really? I thought it was a result of the destruction of the massive hyperbaric chamber that was Earth's early atmosphere during Noah's Flood. After all, Methuselah lived to 900!

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)20:32, 30 January 2012

I like organic belladonna.

BobSpring is sprung!20:35, 30 January 2012

I somehow doubt that.

Talsley (talk)22:13, 30 January 2012

You mean that not all organic things are good?

LOL this site - http://www.biblelife.org/organic.htm - which is written by a Bible-believing Christian, presents a rather different view of the organic myth.

Don't even start screwing with Nebby. This guy knows his shit (and by "shit" I mean everything there is to know).

Sam Tally-ho!20:45, 30 January 2012

Nonsense. He displays the typical ignorance I have come to expect from academics.

Talsley (talk)22:14, 30 January 2012

Ignorance? From Academics? Back to CP with you!

RachelW (talk)22:19, 30 January 2012

Nonsense. Academics have been responsible for some of the greatest works of ignorance in history. Talsley and I "agree" on something -- I can hear Satan shivering and adjusting his thermostat!

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)22:46, 30 January 2012

There may actually be hope for you.

Talsley (talk)23:05, 30 January 2012

Damn, just when I thought I was getting good at this nihilism thing!

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)23:09, 30 January 2012

Why be a nihilist when there is so much to be happy about in nature?

Talsley (talk)23:10, 30 January 2012

I agree, but as we all know, No True Atheist could deny that atheism is inherently nihilistic. Maybe I just need to write some really bad poetry.

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)23:14, 30 January 2012

As far as I know (not having read any Nietzsche), nihilism isn't about realizing that there isn't any objective morality, objective purpose, or god, not feeling depressed all the time.

Can you give examples?

Flubbertalk to me :D|see my shit23:06, 30 January 2012

Well, Assfly is a Harvard graduate. Does that count?

RachelW (talk)23:09, 30 January 2012

What are you on about?

Talsley (talk)23:11, 30 January 2012

Start with Sigmund Freud and his personality cult, perhaps?

Nebuchadnezzar (talk)23:09, 30 January 2012

Oh, I confused 'academics' with 'academia'. Carry on.

Certain people prefer "best of the public", which is a euphemism for "people who agree with me".

Scarlet A.pngd hominem22:57, 30 January 2012

That is a silly euphemism. Crowds and mobs tend to be idiotic.
